At a sober living house there are rules to staying there. You cannot drink or do drugs nor can you bring alcohol or drugs into the home. If you fall off the wagon you have to be straightforward about it and get help right away. You also usually have to have a job. The whole idea of sober living is to keep the addict sober but also to get him or her to start living life again and taking responsibility for his or her actions.
