Orange County Sober Living: With An Outpatient Drug Rehab
Some people chose an orange county sober living house to live in post rehab because they just aren’t ready yet to transition back into their life. An outpatient drug rehab or a sober living facility can really feel like a safety net upon stepping back into society after you’ve let rehab.
One reason recovering addicts want to ease back into life as a sober adult is because they know that a lot of the things in their life work, relationships and family stresses were part of the underlying reason why they drank. Stepping back into a house where the spouse and the kids ad are go, go, go coupled with going back to work can be too much too soon for an addict who is barely hanging on as it is.
Outpatient drug rehabilitation can be a great check in daily or weekly to make sure that all four tires are spinning in the right direction. There is no reason as a recovering addict to feel you have to come out of rehab fully recovered. In fact, most rehabilitation centers encourage addicts to continue with meetings, sponsors and outpatient programs so that if they do hit a difficult patch during their sobriety, especially, the first six months of sobriety post rehab, they have a support system in place that they can talk to and lean on.
Not everyone walks out of rehab sober and ready to face the world. A lot of recovering addicts exit rehab more scared when they went in because now they see the error of their ways and they don’t want to relapse. They want to show their family and friends how much it means to them that they stood up to them and stood by them while they got the help they desperately needed.
